Monday 5 November, GPS participated in Outdoor Classroom Day, an annual global even that aims to get students outdoors in the fresh air and away from screens of any type, for their lessons.
When adults think back to their own happiest memories of childhood, they frequently recall the joy of playing outdoors. Play is not only central to children’s enjoyment of childhood, but teaches critical life skills such as problem-solving, teamwork and creativity.
At GPS we are so fortunate to have such a wonderful green space and playground, so it wasn’t hard for students to enjoy some really fun lessons outside. Classes took part in a selection of different lessons, including maths games, creating art with nature, sketching and science lessons.
