School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Book Week
Book Week is a fantastic celebration of reading and creativity. Each year the students have the opportunity to reimagine themselves as a character from a special book in the Book Week parade. The school organises a performance which fosters a love of reading and inspires the students to reflect on the story presented in a new and exciting way.
This year's Book Week performance, on 12 August, will centre on the book Being Indy by Zoe Gaetjens and illustrated by Estee Sarsfield.
Stage 3 Choir
On Tuesday 11 August will perform as part of the Sydney North West Music Festival in the Burrendong Concert held at The Concourse, Chatswood.
Spelling Bee Regional Finals
Congratulations to Daniel and Farhad who will represent the school at the NSW Premier's Spelling Bee on Friday 7 August.

Zone Athletics Carnival
Congratulations to the students who progressed to the Ryde Zone Athletics Carnival, held at Sydney Olympic Park on Monday 17 August. Your efforts at the School Carnival have done you proud.
Education Week - Open classrooms
Term 3 Week 3
It is wonderful to open our school to the GPS community for our Public Education Week Open Day. We are proud to showcase our extra-curricular group performances and learning in classrooms. It is fabulous to see so many parents/carers in attendance on the day to enjoy the opportunity to come together as a community for a picnic lunch.
