Events

School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Loud Shirt - Silent Disco

Thursday 16 October

Hey GPS, get ready to dance, groove and giggle at the silent disco party in term 4.

What is a silent disco? 🎧 Each child will wear cool wireless headphones and dance to fun music - it’s a party in your ears. It is a free GPS P&C event with a virtual DJ, neon-lights, glow sticks and bubbles.

Don’t miss the music, magic and memory making.

P&C meeting

Join our vibrant P&C.  Meetings are held in the staff room, and online, at 7pm on the final Wednesday of the month during school terms. Parents and carers are welcome to attend.

Athletics Carnival

Students in K-2  compete in events at the school, whilst students in Years 3-6 compete at an athletics field off site.

In both events students show commitment, team spirit and enjoyment.

Book Week

Book Week, held in August, is a fantastic celebration of reading and creativity. Each year the students have the opportunity to reimagine themselves as a character from a special book in the Book Week parade. The school organises a performance which fosters a love of reading and inspires the students to reflect on the story presented in a new and exciting way.

Students are offered the chance to be Shadow Judges as part of the CBC Book of the Year Awards.

Education Week - Open classrooms

Term 3 Week 3

It is wonderful to open our school to the GPS community for our Public Education Week Open Day.  We are proud to showcase our extra-curricular group performances and learning in classrooms. It is fabulous to see so many parents/carers in attendance on the day to enjoy the opportunity to come together as a community for a picnic lunch.
